The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1986 as the first organization in the country devoted exclusively to breast cancer research, education and awareness initiatives. The Foundation continues to blaze new trails in breast cancer and breast health by directing donor dollars to world-class researchers and clinicians who are making groundbreaking progress in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care. Since 2000, the Foundation has awarded 396 grants, supporting research projects, fellowships and community health promotion initiatives. These grants are possible as a result of fundraising initiatives like the Foundation's signature events, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure and Yard Sale for the Cure. The Foundation's network of donors and volunteers numbers in the hundreds of thousands. For more information, visit: www.cbcf.org/ontario. |

Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing those special children the opportunity to realize their most heartfelt wishes.
We are the only all-Canadian wish granting organization with offices in every province and territory. We are proud to say that we have never denied an eligible child a wish. Since its inception in 1987, the British Columbia and Yukon Chapter has granted over 950 wishes for local children and their families. A wish granted has a dramatic effect on the health and healing of many children and their families.
Together, we are working to make life better for children all over British Columbia and Yukon. |

For the past 100 years, Women's College Hospital (WCH) has been dedicated to groundbreaking advances in women's health. Women's College Hospital opened Ontario's first regional Sexual Assault Care Centre and was the first hospital in the province to use mammography. WCH is a teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and focuses on state-of-the-art care, research and education in women' health.
Women's College Hospital is Ontario's first and only ambulatory care centre. Ambulatory care allows for surgeries, diagnostic procedures and treatments that do not require an overnight stay. That means patients can be released within 18 hours and can recover in the comfort of their own home.
Women's College Hospital Foundation is dedicated to raising funds in support of Women's College Hospital to ensure it continues as a North American leader in women's health and ambulatory care. WCHF is engaged in a $70-million fundraising campaign to support the redevelopment of Women's College Hospital, a project set to be complete in 2015 with a new state-of-the-art home for our Hospital. |
